Changelessness

"For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."(Mal 3:6)

" Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with *evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.  Do not err, my beloved brethren.  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."(Jam 1:13-17)

What a thought! Our God does not change there is not even a shadow to indicate a possibility of divergence from the one true path.

God created the worlds from nothing and sustains them by His word. All creation stands in need of His care and provisions, isn't it

assuring to know that He will never change?

But what about after sin and the changes that occurred in our world and the universe? Did it bring about a change in God's character and

the nature of His dealings with the human family after Adam was tempted and fell? God created His creatures and sustains them, would He

violently kill them, drown them in a flood, burn them up in brimstone and ashes? Is that consistent?

Man exercised his free choice in the wrong direction must he now suffer the wrath of an offended God? Must death be meted out for his

high treason? The death of Our Lord Jesus Christ shows that God would rather give all than suffer His creatures to be afflicted by sin and death.

In fact, the death of Christ shows without a doubt that sin not God is responsible for suffering, disease and death.
