Sin always causes a separation that is the nature of it. Destruction and death are also the outworking of sin. the bible says "sin produces death, ... the wages of sin is death, ... death by sin." (James 1:13-15, Romans 6:23, 5:12 KJV)
Separation from God produces death, but why?

What can God do for such a person? Appeal to their better judgement, and if they persist, ultomately respect
their choice.

If God sustains the universe, what will happen if He stops sustaining a creature? they will fall victim to the
ravenous onslaught of the devil like Job did, but Job was "hedged" in by God. Imagine when they are not.
